The bumblebeez were the 2002 winners of Triple J's Unearthed as well as ABC Digital Fly TV's music search. Musically, it's cut'n'paste collision of noisy hip-hop and rock. Producer/singer/multi-instrumentalist Chris Colonna is the architect of the Bumblebeez's raw sound. The Bumblebeez released their debut ep 'White printz' on ABC Fly Music in Feb 2003 then followed it with the Red Printz EP through Modular Records in December 03. After the NME declared Chris the 'coolest white guy alive' and Red Printz was released through English hipsters Wichita, the Bumblebeez signed a worldwide deal with Geffen Records in March 2004 and re-released the ep's combined together as an album called Printz.
